I’ve had the distinct pleasure of going on four optical missions to developing countries – to Albania, to El Salvador, to Mexico and to Nicaragua. It was extremely gratifying to see people experience clear vision for the first time.
Equally compelling was seeing adults who could no longer do the things they loved or the things they had to do because they could not focus on their hands. Once they received their reading glasses, their lives were immediately transformed.
I applaud the many volunteers who give countless hours of their skill and compassion to bring the gift of clear vision to people everywhere. Our goal at RestoringVision.org is to increase the effectiveness of their efforts. Together we can help people all over the world remain productive and vital for a longer period of their lives.
