SMITHFIELD, R.I.— FGX International, a leading eyewear designer and marketer, announced the launch of ReaderBoutique.com, a new website offering the best selling reading glasses brands on the market. The site also boasts a charitable component—its “Pair for Pair” program will donate one pair of reading glasses to RestoringVision.org for each pair of glasses sold, the company said.

ReaderBoutique.com will give customers the opportunity to choose ready to wear reading glasses ranging in price from $24.99 for 3-packs to $65 for premium styles, featuring such top-selling brands as Foster Grant, Corinne McCormack, LightSpecs, MicroVision, Clic, Sight Station, and Private Eyes. Customers will receive free shipping on orders over $24 as well as free return shipping.

“We saw a need in the marketplace for one, comprehensive ecommerce site that truly caters to the eyewear customers’ needs. Readerboutique.com offers excellent customer service, a wide variety of quality product, and virtual try-on technology,” said Scott Sorensen, director of marketing, ReaderBoutique.com. “In addition, we are proud to partner with RestoringVision.org to launch the ‘Pair for Pair’ program,” which the company’s statement noted is a trademarked term. “By purchasing reading glasses from ReaderBoutique.com, consumers are participating in a global effort to help people in need see their world more clearly,” Sorensen said.

The new website allows customers to search for reading glasses by price range and frame style, and to browse product categories including specialty, premium, multi-packs, accessories, men’s and women’s. Readerboutique.com also offers customer service tools like eye charts to determine what power reading glasses a customer should select and Fitting Box virtual try-on technology to personalize a customer’s shopping experience, the company noted. A direct customer support line will be available during regular business hours at 1-800-346-0538 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST).
